Manufactured by geoacoustics, 159 digital, S/N 942. The side scan transmits sound energy and analyzes the return signal (echo) that has bounced off the seafloor or other objects. The echoes are processed to create a picture or an image of the sea floor, just like a photograph from bird’s eye view.

Manufactured by Teledyne Bowtech. The camera is attached to a weighted frame and the frame is designed to be facing the direction of being towed by the boat.
