The purpose in this boat trip was to gather and compare data from an offshore area, with the possibility of examining the characteristics of the water column either side of a coastal front. In addition it was planned that a survey be taken in the same area where geophysics measurements were conducted, in order to gain additional information on the conditions found around the benthic habitats present. Methods to collect data were similar to the estuary boat work, although the number of samples that could be obtained were not as restricted this time.
