WELCOME
Welcome to the Group 2 Plymouth Field Course 2019 website. This website is designed
to illustrate the results of the field work and experiments performed between July
2nd , 2019 and July 12th , 2019 in Plymouth, England (see calendar below). The group
members include Charlotte Cockram, Dewi Ford, Ella Brock, Ellie Nuttal, Genie Vickery,
Lynn Hrkac, Madeline Anderson, Sarah Le Besque, Tom Freer, and Nicola Guisewhite.
Below you will find an introduction to Plymouth and the field course, as well as
an interactive map which can be used to access the results of the course.

PLYMOUTH
Plymouth is a port city located in Devon, England. The city is enclosed by the mouths
of the River Plym and River Tamar which feed into the Plymouth Sound. The Plymouth
Sound and the Tamar Estuary host some of Europe’s most threatened marine species
and habitats, and as such they are Marine Protected Areas (MPAs).
Our field courses explores some of these habitats in the rivers, estuaries, and offshore
with a purpose to understand the biological, chemical, and physical aspects of these
local environments.
