C4

CTD data at station C4 gave a constant salinity reading of about 35.1 PSU throughout the water column from surface to a depth of 23 m. The CDOM fluctuated from 0.027 to 0.040 at the surface and then remained at 34.8 with a variance of 0.02 with depth. Temperature decreased nearly 0.45 °C in the first meter and then steadily declined to 14.95°Cat 23m. The fluorescence showed the largest change with an increase of about 0.01 mg/m3 from 2 to 7 m. The profile also shows a general trend of increasing fluorescence through the water column, though the readings fluctuated greatly throughout this increase. The irradiance profile closely resembled the exponential decay seen at other stations. Insufficient nutrient data was collected to determine a nutrient profile for this station, but physical data indicated a well-mixed profile with stratification only occurring in shallow surface waters.
