C2/3

Due to unfavourable sea state conditions the first deployment at this site (C2) was aborted. The CTD was redeployed at the same coordinates and the data collected labelled under C3. The profile showed CDOM measurements fluctuating between 0.02 and 0.05 in the first meter of the water column, though this is most likely just noisy data as the CTD bobs around on the surface before descending. At depth, although CDOM measurements fluctuate, they do so around an average of 0.37 and this remains true for the entire water column.  Temperature remains relatively stable in the surface 8m (around 15.14 before dropping rapidly to 15.07 around 10m. At that same depth, the fluorescence reading increased by 2.5 mg/m3. The irradiance profile showed an exponential decline in the amount of light penetrating the water column with depth. This site shows all elements typical of a well-mixed water column.
