RAPID Annual Meeting

March 2010

The RAPID Annual Meeting will be held at the Met Office in Exeter 14-16 July. The meeting is open to members of the RAPID and USAMOC communities who wish to present resent research. Details may be found on the meeting website.

New Method for Estimating Variability in the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC)

October 2009

Much variability in the Atlantic overturning at 40 to 65 °N is related to gain in the density of surface waters through heat loss and evaporation to the atmosphere. This fact lies behind a new method to estimate the strength of the AMOC at these latitudes.
