Welcome to the Ocean Transports Group in the Department of Ocean Observing and Climate at the National Oceanography Centre, Southampton.
The Transports Group is dedicated to oceanographic research with the aim to better understanding the climate system. An improved understanding of ocean transports would provide a solid basis from which to predict and prepare for future environmental conditions.
This site explains the methods used to conduct this work, provides information on recent fieldwork and the data collected.
