Measurement schedule
| Location | Dates | Mission | Details |
| Canary Islands | May to July 2009 | RAPID-WATCH trial deployment | Glider Dynamite will be ungoing a second RAPID-WATCH trial that will concentrate on her ability to act as a virtual mooring around the colocated RAPID moorings EBH4 and EBH5. These, combined, have 9 MicroCAT CTDs and 2 S4 Current Meters on them. If succesfully recovered during the Autumn refurbishment cruise by the RRS Discovery the mooring data can be directly compared with the real-time data recovered from Dynamite. |
| Canary Islands | September to December 2008 | RAPID-WATCH trial deployment | Glider Bellamite will be taking part in the RAPID-WATCH project, taking CTD profiles between Gran Canaria and the mainland of Morocco to capture the time dependant density profiles at the eastern boundary which are used, in conjuction with measurements from the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, Western Boundary and Florida Straits, to calculate the meridional overturning circulation in the North Atlantic. |
| Gulf of Lions | 20-1-2008 / 10-4-2008 | Gulf of Lions 2008 | Gliders Ammonite, Bellamite and Coprolite will repeat last years measurement canmpaign, hopefully observing some convection. The gliders are equipped with lithium batteries and are expected to operate for three months continuously. |
| Gulf of Lions | January-April 2007 | Main measurement campaign | In this period, three gliders are scheduled to be deployed to observe convection in the Gulf of
Lions in the Mediterranean.
