DC-UK Deep-sea Conservation for the United Kingdom
Deepseascape.org is being developed primarily as a resource for images of the deep-water environment around the UK, to illustrate different habitat types and biodiversity. The image library comprises an easily accessible relational database with a choice of search options. The site also covers related topics including information regarding exploration of UK deep waters, different habitat types with specific examples, and information on image collection methods.
The site aims to provide images for use by the media, NGO’s, decision makers, educators and the general public with the aim to raise awareness of the biology, conservation and threats to UK deepwater habitats and species. The DC-UK project is sponsored by the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation.
The DC-UK is divided into four project modules which are being undertaken by four of the UK’s leading marine science research institutions:
The National Oceanography Centre, Southampton - Britain's undersea landscape - Vist our site >>>>>>>>>> www.deepseascape <<<<<<<<<< Visit our site
The University of Plymouth - Deep-sea fisheries conservation -
