Research cruise station data (i.e. position, depth, sampling device etc) are available for most of our recent cruises via the relevant cruise reports. Visit our cruises page for a listing of those cruises and links to the cruise reports. A large online cruise database is maintained by the British Oceanographic Data Centre (BODC), including a fully searchable cruise inventory.
The Discovery Collections - a very extensive set of biological specimens and ecological samples from the deep sea - are a highly valuable data resource for taxonomists, biologists and ecologists. If you are interested in accessing and making use of the collections please feel free to contact the team for further information.
The SERPENT image and video database holds a great collection of photos and footage from around the world, from sharks to sea squirts!
DEEPSEASCAPE provides a searchable image library of deep-sea floor photographs the Group has taken in the UK's deep-water territory (see also the AMES project page).
ChEss studies the species from deep-water hydrothermal vents, cold seeps and other chemosynthetic ecosystems. The ChEss website provides access to "ChEssBase" - a taxonomic, biological, ecological and distributional database of species described from deep-water chemosynthetic ecosystems.
