This website is dedicated to the recording of marine wildlife, with a particular focus on seabirds and sea mammals (whales, porpoises, dolphins and seals). Scientists from the National Oceanography Centre, Southampton (NOC) visit some of the most remote areas of the ocean during research cruises, often for several weeks at a time. Consequently, there are unique opportunities to record and photograph marine animals in their natural environment. In addition, this website aims to increase awareness of local coastal wildlife in Hampshire, focusing on the extensive HCC-owned nature reserve between Lymington and Hurst Beach. All enquiries about this website should be directed to Russell Wynn at NOC.
