The Jmodel suite consits of several models of different aspects of the Earth System. They can be run from the jmodels website. They are written in Java, and hence are trivial to run from just about any machine, PC, Mac or otherwise. The models are controlled via graphical user interfaces; no knowledge of computer programming is required to get them running.

The main purpose of the models is to investigate how the Earth system is regulated and controlled by different feedbacks. While the main focus is on Earth System stabilisation, the models can used for several different purposes and for this reason they are several different pathways through this wiki.

Depending on your area of interest you should select between the following paths:

(1). Earth System stabilisation.

(2). Global change impact on the Earth System.

(3). Behaviour of the Earth System during major events.

(4). Ocean Biogeochemistry.

(5). Earth's Radiation Balance.
