Current status

1st March 2005


Funding for the SEISCANEX project ended on 30 November 2004, completing 7 years of seismic record archive and technological development. During this time over 2 million line km of seismic records were archived which represents a re-survey costs of 30 million Euros. 
Outstanding scans are being completed and the facility remains operational on local recurrent funding. However we are unable to accept new scanning requests at this time.
COLLECTION databases are on-line and available to view via this website - just click on Image database.

SEISCANEX (Southampton) has now overseen the return of 3517 seismic images to data owners. SEISCANEX (Strasbourg) has now overseen the return of 7412 seismic images to data owners.

The SEISCANEX facility is now fully upgraded with new scanning capability at OGS Trieste, plus mobile scanner at NOA Athens using Linux O/S.
