National Oceanography Centre, Southampton has an experienced team of scientists and technical staff who operate in the forefront of data gathering, using satellite remote sensing, sea-based instruments deployed from ships, moored sensor arrays (such as the RAPID array) and from autonomous sensors carried on profiling floats (Argo programme) or new technology vehicles such as Autosub.
