Projects and Offices
JRD participates in various programmes in support of its Strategic research. We are involved in NERC's RAPID (Rapid Climate Change) and COAPEC (Coupled Ocean-Atmosphere Processes and European Climate) science programmes. We have been been involved in past NERC science programmes such as ARCICE and the Autosub Science Missions. We also obtain funding from other external sources such as EU Framework programmes (eg AutoFlux). We aim to play a major role in the new National Centre for Ocean Forecasting (NCOF).Additionally, JRD supports the International CLIVAR Project Office, the COAPEC Core Team and the RAPID Science Coordination.
