Satellite Remote Sensing Team

The Satellite Remote Sensing Team of the James Rennell Division is one of the components of the National Oceanography Centre, Southampton, Laboratory for Satellite Oceangraphy (NOCS LSO), in collaboration with the Satellite Oceanography and Remote Sensing Group (SORSG) of the School of Ocean and Earth Science.

The Satellite Remote Sensing Team analyse satellite observations both on their own and in combination with in situ data, to provide information on wind, waves, currents and ocean biology.
