welcome to the FRAM ftp directory. The FRAM project officially ended in 1992 but has left a legacy of interesting data and useful software. This directory contain programs and files produced by the FRAM project which have been made available to the academic community. Unfortunately this software is no longer supported but software offering similar and extra functionality may be found in the OCCAM ftp space.

The following naming conventions have been used for the file extensions:

fram_xgraphics.tar.Z
Xview graphics programs for displaying and checking FRAM data. Programs include:

fp2191.cards.Z
An example of the data format produced by the FRAM extraction routines and used by the FRAM graphics programs (ASCII encoded data). this file contains the FRAM stream-function field at the end of the 6-year spin-up period.
