Using the Collection database Web Viewer |
|
Welcome.
MAST3-CT97-0101 SEISCAN images are archived using the Collection database software of Caldera Graphics. Collection attaches metadata to each image to allow keyword and generic searches based on several familiar criteria such as geographic area or survey name. This facility is extended onto the Web Viewer and permits thumbnail and mid-resolution browsing and downloads. From the Index Page http://www.soc.soton.ac.uk/CHD/seisweb/index.html select:
'Enter COLLECTION'
The Web Viewer entry page will show the name of the database currently on line and give
the total number of images available. This includes both seismic images and navigation images.
Surveys are pre-fixed with a country code – GB GR TR F- NL D- I- etc
and completed with the survey identification – D90 S676 V20 etc.
Image frames (an A0 scan) are named with the seismic roll number and frame along roll:
|
<country_code> GB |
<survey _id> D90 |
<roll_No> B |
<frame_No> 6 |
unique image GBD90B6 is then located on the navigation image.
The search options use text string or numeric entries depending on field type.
Not all fields may be available during development.
