Three Year Fellowships

As of October 2005 all the Three Year Fellows were appointed

The BIOTRACS three year fellows are:

  1. Ellen Avery who is working on 'The inorganic and biogenic quantification of sulphide oxidation processes in active and passive submarine vent environments: a contrasting experimental and natural approach' with Liane Benning, Rachel Mills, Jon Lloyd and Rich Pancost.
  2. Alfred Aquilina who is working on 'Trace metal cycling across sulphate-methane transition zones in cold seeps'with Rich Pancost, Rachel Mills, Jon Lloyd and Joe Macquaker.
  3. Sergio Balzano who is working on 'The bacterial recycling of particulate elements in marine waters'with Peter Statham and Rich Pancost.
  4. Loredana Brinza who is working on "Interaction of trace metals and iron-based nanoparticles in contrasting marine settings' with Liane Benning and Peter Statham.
